-Things I did with my time outside of class....my waggling to find my place-
Memorandum of Agreement: The memorandum functions as an agreement between Nourish International Uw Chapter and RHCF in Uganda. This commits us to the amount of funding/work needed to fund the agreed upon project. I was able to help create this document and make sure it was able to get approved/signed by all parties involved.
Woodland Park Zoo: This is the longest job I have ever held (mainly due to academics). I worked part-time in the gift shop. What I really liked about working here is the people. I loved everyone I worked with and felt the community to be extremely fun and caring. Also, the company that controls the gift shop, Event Network, shares its proceeds with the zoo. This means that all the extra proceeds go to the zoo animals’ needs and to fair trade initiatives such as the Snow Leopard Trust (helps prevent the eradication of the snow leopards in Nepal).

Great Northern Whitewater Resort: I worked at Great Northern for 3 summers. As a valued reservationist at the front office of a resort, I answered phone calls, recorded messages, scheduled reservations into the system, opened/closed office, and helped with customer service.I also was a barista in the caboose on sight.

Experiential Learning: Dream Project
Freshman Year: Dream Project was rewarding because I was able to help high school students with something that I only recently struggled with myself: high school graduation and college applications. However, I dropped it after the two quarters because I did not feel like I was getting enough interaction with the kids. But when I did, I loved helping them writ their college essays and find scholarships. This experience helped me realized that working with high schoolers would be a very rewarding career path. Because of this, I am also considering going to school for counseling.
